Gator Gulf Energy
Exploring tidal power as a renewable energy resource. Florida Hacks With IBM - 1st Place
Team Members: Caitlin Becker, Katie Lara, Allison Wu
Gator Gulf Energy was a project for Florida Hacks With IBM, a hackathon focused on sustainability. We analyzed NOAA data to support the viability of harnessing the perpetual energy of the Florida Gulf Stream. The goal was to simplify complex real-world data into clear, understandable statistics, enabling anyone, regardless of their technical background, to understand the potential of the proposed system.
My role was primarily design and visualization. I used Figma to build a low-fi wireframe for our website, and Maya to build an impeller 3D CAD model to help visualize our system.
